Flips of Fame Records were established in 2005 as an independent record label and continue to promote Filipino talent today. Founded by Filipino-Canadian artist, producer, composer, and promoter, AMBITO, F.O.F Records has released a number of singles, mix tapes, and an album over the last three years, namely, "Get Flipped" in 2005, "Legendary Legacy" the album in 2006 (Available in all Music One stores and www.fliptunes.net World Wide), "F.O.F. Show Mix tape and Ako Ay Pilipino Mix tape" in 2007.
Flips of Fame Records have also participated in various events within the Hip-Hop community and beyond to constantly aid in promoting Philippine Hip-Hop. Although it only has AMBITO on its current roster, the company has been actively collaborating with other independent labels within the Philippine Hip-Hop Community and has been promoting all aspects of Philippine Hip-Hop in a large scale manner with very limited support.
Flips of Fame Records published the First Hip-Hop Magazine of the Philippines respectively named, F.O.F. Magazine in 2007 simultaneously with its official website, www.fofmag.com (In association with Kalibre Records). Both platforms offer different views and information about Philippine Hip-Hop and help spread the word in the country and around the world. In addition, the F.O.F. Project was launched as a collective effort from the F.O.F. Team to raise awareness and re-educate the Filipino people about Philippine Hip-Hop. Involving three outstanding fundraising campaigns, specifically, "F.O.F. - The Premier Hip-Hop Magazine in the Philippines campaign," the "I AM F.O.F." shirt campaign, and the "F.O.F. To jump start 2008, Flips of Fame Records / F.O.F. Magazine gathered talented artists and groups such as People's Future, God's Will, Loonie, Ron, Nimbus9, Kenjhons, Prolifik, J.C. Sacramento, L.A. Cruz, Q-York, Madelle Enriquez and Abby Assistio, etc. for a successful mini-concert dubbed as "Philippine Hip-Hop at Prince of Jaipur."
Quietly, slowly, but surely, Flips of Fame Records has been garnering a lot of respect within the Hip-Hop community because of its non-stop efforts of promoting Philippine Hip-Hop. The highly anticipated 2nd issue of F.O.F. Magazine is to be released on the first quarter of 2008, the Mixtape collaborations of F.O.F. and Kalibre Records will also be released, and the F.O.F. clothing brand is now available.
Currently, Flips of Fame Records is promoting the single "Sikat" by AMBITO featuring J.C. Sacramento of Kalibre Records (J.C. Sacramento's first feature).
